Gardai in Letterkenny are hunting a suspected teenage handbag snatcher.
It follows an attempted robbery on the Pearse Road in Letterkenny on Tuesday last.
The incident happened around 5pm when a woman was approached by a young man, aged between 15 and 16.
He was wearing a black hoodie and had fair hair and tried to steal the woman’s handbag.
He failed and fled the scene of the crime on foot.
Gardai have appealed to anybody who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident or a youth matching this description to contact them at Letterkenny Garda station.
