A drug-driver has been arrested after being caught behind the wheel on cocaine.
The driver was caught in Pettigo Village in the early hours of Sunday morning by the Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit.
The person tested positive for cocaine after being tested and will appear at a future court sitting.
A Garda spokesman warned: “Please don’t ever drive under the influence of drink/drugs.”
Gardai have warned that they are now stepping up their checkpoints to catch drink and drug drivers over the Christmas period.
