A public meeting has been called for next Thursday night in Lifford, to discuss the future of the local community hospital.
The meeting comes ahead of the planned transfer of the remaining two long stay patients at Lifford Community Hospital next month.
The move has strengthened fears that the closure of the hospital is coming soon.
The Friends of Lifford Hospital say the current situation for the Lifford-based hospital as ‘critical’ and are calling a meeting to inform the local community on the latest developments.
Members of the public and local politicians are being urged to attend the meeting in the resource centre next Thursday at 8pm.
