Letterkenny man, Chris Duddy will soon be reeling in the Christmas spirit with the preview/premiere of his new comedy play Santa Baby on Tuesday 19th November.
Aimed at entertaining the adults out there, Santa Baby is a fun, flirty, and cheeky Christmas tale, with a magical twist, that will be the perfect pre-Christmas tonic.
Chris said “I think we all seem to forget the inner child we have in us, and the underlying message of the play is that Christmas is for adults too.
“I have always thought about writing a Christmas comedy, that just simply aims to entertain. A feel-good show, with seasonal charm, with all the elements to make it a right pre-Christmas laugh.
“So with that in mind, Santa Baby was born. Having written the play, it really does feel like your baby, and I’ve been really chuffed with the support and positive feedback on announcing the show, and venue.”
Chris has many years of local stage experience under his belt, which includes numerous roles in the Letterkenny pantomime, Letterkenny musical society, also Letterkenny music and drama group, and a number of other productions.
He added “I’m really happy to be lending my stage experience to a whole new venture, and the fact that I’ve created the show just makes me want to get back on the stage again, and just have fun, fun, fun.
“Hopefully, I will see many new, and some familiar faces there.”
The show will run on selected dates in one of Donegal’s premier Christmas hotspots, the magical surroundings of Donegals Lapland, ran by Pat Doherty, at Doagh Island.
Which only makes it a more perfect Christmas present. They are working hard to ensure the stage is set, and can’t wait to welcome you all.
