A MAN told neighbours in Letterkenny that he would ‘put your daughter in a white coffin’.
Roger Attard was standing in the rain wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and no shoes at 2.40am on October 19, 2019 at Chestnut Gove, Letterkenny.
Attard, of 69 Chestnut Grove was said to be abusive, insulting and clenching his fists.
Sergeant Jim Collins said that Attard, who was ‘visibly unsteady’, shouted at neighbours, who were present: ‘I’ll put your daughter in a white coffin’.
Mr Frank Dorrian, solicitor for Attard, said his client was in ‘an advanced state of drunkenness’ and had ‘no insight how he found himself in that state or condition’.
Attard is a 46-year-old, originally from Malta, who has previously worked as a chef and is currently unemployed.
Judge Paul Kelly applied the probation act.
