CAPTAIN Keith Cowan heaped praise on the character of his Finn Harps team-mates after they secured Premier Division survival.
It wasn’t all plain sailing for Harps – who had to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg – but Cowan and company rolled the sleeves up.
“We had to dig deep, but that’s the character of the team,” Cowan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“That’s the players we have. That’s one of the main things coming to Finn Park, you have to have character. A lot of guys out there fought for each other.
“I’m proud to call them my team-mates and hopefully a lot will stick around for next season.”
It was tough. It was a battle of attrition.
