Naomh Conaill manager Martin Regan says neither his team nor Gaoth Dobhair deserved to lose this afternoon’s Donegal SFC final.
In the end, it finished 0-8 to 0-8 with the side from Glenties kicking the last two scores of the afternoon through an Eoghan McGettigan free then a 45 from Ciaran Thompson. There will be a replay next weekend.
“Whether it got away from us, it’s hard to know,” Regan said afterwards. “Both had chances to win it, but the draw is the fairest result. We were very lucky to be only two down after ten minutes and we really struggled with the kick-outs. They had a serious press on us. It looked like it could get away on us, but we dug deep and we responded well.”
