TERMON, Part II. So says the Termon captain Emer Gallagher as the Burn Road brigade look forward to another Ulster final.
For the first time in four years, Termon – a new-look Termon – are back on the Ulster final stage after a 1-9 to 2-5 win over Tyrone champions St Macartans.
“It’s unbelievable,” Gallagher told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We were positive coming into this match, but actually winning the semi-final and feeling in the same position really shows the standard of players we have here in Termon.
“We have a fantastic panel and this shows the strength in depth.”
The concession of two first-half goals threatened to derail Termon, but they fought back to grind out a narrow win.
Gallagher said: “We were very nervous coming into today. We were a point down at half-time. We hadn’t even left second gear. We knew they’d have a purple patch, but we knew we’d be able to weather it.”
