DARREN HUNTER feels that Letterkenny Gaels have to start making some silverware noise.
Gaels face Buncrana in Saturday’s final at O’Donnell Park aiming for their first ever slice of Championship success.

The club, formed in 1996, are competing in their first Junior Championship final and Hunter, joint captain with Conor McBrearty, says the old excuses have long since washed.
“It’s 23 years and it’s not that new any more,” Hunter told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“That excuse has gone now and it’s time for us to stand up and get some Championship silverware.”
Gaels have hit the crossbar in recent years at the semi-final stage with both Naomh Colmcille and Red Hughs getting Ulster success after overcoming Gaels.
“There were a lot of questions asked of us,” Hunter says.
“It’s there now, we finally got over the line in the semi-final. That was hanging over us for the last three years and there was a lot of hurt there. We used that as motivation and we got over that hurdle.
“There was added pressure this year when we got to the semi-final again. We were more clinical last week. We’d been in that position before and let it slip.”
