Letterkenny Cycling Club is this week celebrating the presentation of €1.400 to two local charities, Donegal Women’s Centre and the Letterkenny Youth and Community Club.
The money was raised from recent annual LCC Atlantic Way Sportive.
Majella McBride, chairperson of LCC, thanked all the cyclists who took part and all the club members who contributed to the successful running of the event.
She also thanked Milford gardai, Donegal Civil Defence and the motorcycle marshalls for their help.
This presentation brings the total presented by the club to local charities and the recent sponsorship of the Donegal Rás team to over €5.000 in the last three years.
