TWO-GOAL Termon ace Bridget Gallagher put their big Ulster quarter-final win over Clann Éireann down to hard work.
“It was brilliant,” Gallagher told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“The defence really put it up to them. It was great having a home game and we worked really hard.
“We just seemed to get the goals a wee bit easier. We knew at halt-time if we kept plugging away that we’d come out the right end of it.”
Termon will be home again at The Burn Road in the semi-final against the Tyrone champions, St Macartans.
Gallagher registered Termon’s first goal and also chipped in with the fifth.
She said: “I didn’t get any scores the last day, but I didn’t think about that. You have to keep working hard.”
Gallagher showed good self belief when she soared through the Clann Éireann rearguard and backed herself to shoot.
She added: “It was probably a confidence thing. I knew Geraldine (McLaughlin) was double marked, so why not have a pop?
