Donegal school promoting responsible recycling through education

Members from Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town have taken recycling into their own hands as part of Recycle Week.

The annual event was celebrated between September 23-27, and the Donegal school came up with a new initiative to tackle their own recycling.

In its 17th year, the aim of the week is to encourage the public to recycle more, by demonstrating the benefits of recycling items from all around the home.

So, in an effort to reduce their plastic waste, Abbey Vocational gifted each student a new personalized water bottle.

You can see below the school’s students organising them last week.

The south Donegal also installed new water fountains and they will be ready for use from this week.
