DERMOT MOLLOY says Naomh Conaill have learned how to control games better.
The beaten finalists in each of the previous two years, the Glenties men have started the 2019 SFC with two wins. On Saturday night, Naomh Conaill overcame Dungloe in torrid conditions at Rosses Park.
“It was a very good performance,” Molloy told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We knew this would be a battle. Our objective was to get the result, get four points on the board and we’ve done that.
“We’re happy with the performance. It’s a step forward for us.
“We’ve played every game this year with respect to the opponent. We’re working hard as a group to move this thing on. This team is still learning and we’re all chipping in together.”
Naomh Conaill welcome Sean MacCumhaills to Davy Brennan Memorial Park this weekend, when a win would seal top spot in the group.
Molloy added: “We have learned how to control games a bit better. At times we’d have panicked at shots, but we were very patient and used the ball well.”
