Thieves smashed into a car and stole the handbag from a lady while she was attending mass.

The woman had parked her car for Sunday morning mass at 9am on September 15th last.

When she came out of mass the window of her car had been smashed and her handbag had been stolen.

Gardai have since issued an appeal for people not to leave valuables in their vehicles at any time.

Included in the lady’s handbag was a Huawei P20 mobile phone.

Gardai in Buncrana are appealing to anybody who may have noticed anybody acting suspiciously in the area to contact them.
