PAT CAMPBELL, the Four Masters manager, hailed his side after they upset the odds to throw a real cat among the Donegal SFC’s pigeons last night.
A 2-11 to 0-6 win over Glenswilly at Pairc Naomh Columba represented a seismic result in Foxhall, just a few weeks after Four Masters’ relegation to Division 3.
“The collective effort they showed, the intensity, aggression and the composure on the ball,” Campbell told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We had nothing to lose here but we knew that if we put a performance together we could shock Glenswilly.
“The young lads came in and did a fantastic job. I’m super proud of the performance. They can go up the road and have a bit of pride in themselves.”
Four Masters have now given themselves a real chance of making the quarter-finals and face Campbell’s home club, Glenfin, next weekend.
He said: “We can go now with a bit of belief in our own ability, rather than being kicked about all the time.”
