BUNCRANA PROVED much too strong for Carndonagh in a Junior Championship derby at Foden last night.
Carndonagh 1-5 Buncrana 2-20
Buncrana might have been relegated to Division 3 of the All-County League recently, but they were full of intent here with John Campbell and Caolan McGonagle getting the goals.
Former Donegal livewire Darach O’Connor scored six points following a summer on the west coast of America.
Christy McDaid hit 1-3 for Carndonagh, but the loss of Conor O’Donnell – who had been training with the Donegal seniors this summer – to a cruciate injury a few weeks ago left the Division 4 side without one of their star turns
Scorers:
Buncrana – John Campbell 1-4, Darach O’Connor 0-6, Caolan McGonagle 1-0, Ben Bradley 0-3, Odhrán Doherty, Oisin Doherty, Ryan McElhinney 0-2 each, Adrian Doherty 0-1
Carndonagh – Christy McDaid 1-3, Donal Doherty 0-2
