Both Donegal groups pulled out all the stops to showcase the wonderful food offerings of the county when the judges came to visit earlier this month. The Foodie Destinations judges of 2019 were former Harvey’s Point Hotelier Deirdre McGlone and Chef Anthony O’ Toole.
Commenting on Donegal Town, the judges said there was a great variety of dining experiences, in addition to the hospitality and knowledgeability of the locals, and they also thought it was a clever idea to use the platform of the Wild Atlantic Way to help them stand out as a place to visit.
The Waterford Way was announced as the overall winner of the Foodie Destinations Awards 2019.
