There was no sign of Marty McFly but this cool DeLorean car certainly turned heads in Ardara.
Only 9,000 of the cars were made at its plant in Northern Ireland between 1981 and 1983 with less than 5,000 believed to be still around today.
The car famously featured as the time machine in the Hollywood blockbuster Back to the Future.
The car, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, stood out for its gull-wing doors and brushed stainless-steel outer body panels, as well as an innovative fibreglass body structure with a steel backbone chassis.
Initially, it became widely known for its disappointing lack of power and performance, which didn’t match the expectations created by its looks and price tag.
This DeLorean belonged to a visitor who was passing through and was later spotted in Letterkenny.
Many thanks to Clare Molloy for the pics!
