The public is being warned not to swim at Lady’s Bay in Buncrana this weekend due to high levels of bacteria.
There is an elevated level of E.coli in the water, according to a safety notice from Donegal County Council.
The pollution was caused by significant heavy rainfall and agricultural activities/runoff.
The ‘No Swim’ warning was issued after the storm water influx on Thursday. The ban will remain in place for 72 hours.
