MARK MCHUGH kicked ten points as Kilcar overcame Gaoth Dobhair in Towney to maintain their excellent Division One form.

Kilcar 3-15 Gaoth Dobhair 3-11

Kilcar rattled in two goals in the first half with Mark Sweeney netting on 15 minutes and, just two minutes later, Paddy McShane kept his cool to fire in a second.

However, Gaoth Dobhair hit back and Peter McGee applied a finish to Naoise Ó Baoill’s pass to cut the deficit to a single point at the break.

Kilcar held sway 2-7 to 1-9 at the changeover and Ciaran McGinley blasted to the Gaoth Dobhair net just after the re-start.

Yet, Micheál Carroll delivered an instant riposte at the other end as he got in for a goal, while veteran Kevin Cassidy added a third goal for the visitors.
