Immanuel Doyle, one of those whom Horgan is running a rule over, netted for Harps in the first half while Liam Walsh – who made a late cameo appearance in last night’s 2-1 win over Derry City at Finn Park, bagged the winner.
Peter Burke, the Harps goalkeeper, saved an Andrew Mitchell penalty after Joel Cooper gave the Blues the lead.
Late in the first half, Doyle volleyed home the equaliser for Harps.
Burke also denied Shayne Lavery and Lorcan Forde a Linfield turned the screw, but Walsh won it for Harps with a tidy finish at the back post.
Harps included Tony McNamee and Shaun Doherty, who came off the bench last night, while new recruit Joshua Smith also played the 90 minutes.
