A man has been arrested in relation to a serious assault which occurred in a Carndonagh housing estate in May.
The attack took place in the Ard Clogher estate on the 14th of May.
The victim suffered serious injuries and a broken bone in his face. He had to get stitches to the face.
This week, gardaí have confirmed that a man was arrested on the 26th of June and questioned over this assault. He was charged to appear in Court on a later date.
Gardaí have thanked anyone who may have offered any assistance in relation to the incident.
