BALLYBOFEY MAN Johnny Dunleavy was among the goals tonight to do Finn Harps a huge favour.
Dunleavy netted as Sligo Rovers hammered UCD 5-1 at The Showgrounds.
The win for the Bit O’Red, alongside Harps’ 0-0 draw at home to Cork, means Harps are four points clear of UCD in the battle for safety.
UCD led through Liam Scales’ early goal, but Sligo eased to victory thanks to a Ronan Coughlan hat-trick and goals by Dunleavy and Romeo Parkes.
Dunleavy drew Sligo back on level terms when he headed home from a David Cawley corner.
Barely a minute later, Coughlan had Sligo ahead and they were on their way.
