DIARMUID CONNOLLY is expected to line out for Donegal Boston again this summer with the Dubliner’s transfer expected to be processed in the coming days.
The two-time All-Star was instrumental last year as Donegal Boston won the Boston SFC.
In the final win over Wolfe Tones in Canton, Connolly scored twelve points. Connolly’s dozed helped Donegal Boston to a 0-17 to 1-12 win and ended their pain after successive defeats to Shannon Blues and Wolfe Tones in finals.
Connolly hasn’t played for Dublin in the last year and a half, but there has remained intense speculation about a possible return to Jim Gavin’s panel.
However, Connolly – who turns 32 next month – will not be back to aid their ‘drive for five’ and is again expected to rejoin Donegal Boston, who are managed by Buncrana native Padraic McLaughlin.
