A gaming application to install 550 coin machines at an Inishowen gaming premises has been delayed as ongoing works to the building continues.
Buncrana business, Springmill Limited, applied for the machines, 150 in total for Carey’s Amusements in Buncrana and 400 in total for Carey’s Amusements in Bridgend, under section 15 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act.
The application was first lodged in April 2018 following a decision by Inishowen councillors to change the gaming law one month prior.
It is understood the delay was requested because works at the premises have not been approved by the Fire Officer.
Members from the Donegal Association against Gambling Machines oppose the application.
It follows a decision last month to grant the owner of Star Amusements, Buncrana and Blackthorn Amusements, Bridgend, a license for gaming machines at their two premises.
The application will be looked at again in Buncrana District Court on September 12.
