A search for a ‘missing surfer’ has been stood down.
Earlier this afternoon an alert was sparked when a surfer was reported to have gone missing off Mullaghderg near Kincasslagh.
Bunbeg Coast Guard, as well as the rescue 118 helicopter from Sligo, was scrambled to the scene.
They were assisted in the search, which was coordinated by the Malin Head Radio Coastguard, by a number of local boats
However, a short time ago the search was stood down and all search vessels returned to their respective bases.
