Finn Harps will be without the suspended Jacob Borg for this evening’s EA Sports Cup quarter-final against Derry City.
For the second time in four days, Harps travel to the Brandywell and boss Ollie Horgan is calling for a big improvement from Friday’s 4-0 defeat in the League.
Harps are still down a lot of bodies.
Borg’s one-game suspension, for an accumulation of yellow cards, sees him join the length absentee list.
Harps remain without Mark Timlin, Gareth Harkin, Michael Gallagher, Ciaran Gallagher, Harry Ascroft and John Kavanagh, who are all injured.
Horgan hinted on Friday night that he could ring the changes tonight with the likes of Liam Walsh, Stephen Doherty and Mark Anthony McGinley all in the reckoning.
A Ciaron Harkin hat-trick condemned Harps to a heavy defeat on Friday night as the Candystripes tore through Horgan’s men.
“When we play this EA Cup game it will be four games in like 11 days and that is a hectic schedule,” the Harps manager noted.
“It has brought a couple of more injuries but we’ll batter on and face the challenges that are ahead.
“We never got going on Friday night and paid a heavy price. It’s going to take a massive improvement to be in with a chance of defeating Derry on their home pitch.”
