Deele College in Raphoe is set to gain new classrooms under a building project which has been confirmed today.
Funding has been approved for the post-primary Donegal ETB school to replace prefabs with permanent classrooms.
Two new Metalwork/Engineering rooms are on the way to Deele College, while funding will also be used to build two special education needs base classrooms and general classrooms.
Cllr Frank McBrearty, who has welcomed today’s funding announcement, said that the existing Metalwork/Engineering room at Deele will be decommissioned and replaced with a new technical drawing room.
With the building project, the school will be able to remove five prefabs that have been in use for a number of years.
“This will be a great boost for the school; teachers and most importantly the growing number of students which attend Deele College,” Cllr McBrearty said.
