Participants of Darkness into Light in Falcarragh are looking forward to seeing dawn break from the beach as they take on a new route this Saturday morning.
This year’s Darkness into Light walk will take place Friday night into Saturday morning (11th May) at 4.15am across 12 locations in Donegal.
In Falcarragh this year, participants will be walking the beautiful Falcarragh Beach Back Strand.
Darkness into Light, organised by Pieta and proudly supported by Electric Ireland since 2013, is a global movement dedicated to ending suicide and supporting those who engage in self-harm.
Thousands of people will walk a 5-kilometre route into the light of dawn. The early dawn represents hope and is symbolic of the work of Pieta; bringing people from darkness back into the light.
