The Donegal Boxing Board have confirmed a 14-strong team that will travel to Boston this summer.
The traveling party was confirmed at this week’s county board meeting in Letterkenny.
The likes of Bryan Namee (Convoy, pictured) and Paddy McShane (Letterkenny) have Irish titles under their belts and the squad is made up from seven clubs,
Convoy ABC, Letterkenny ABC, Dunree, Raphoe ABC, Dunfanaghy ABC, Carndonagh ABC and St Bridget’s Clonmany will all be represented on the trip.
Paddy Doherty will travel as team manager, while the squad will also be accompanied by the Donegal Boxing Board’s President, Peter O’Donnell.
The Donegal team will face a Boston selection under the stewardship of Buncrana native Mark Porter and is traveling in conjunction with Donegal County Council, who are supporting the trip from June 27-July 2.

North West Zones
Meanwhile, the North West Zones take place this Sunday, May 12, at Oakleaf ABC in Derry. Weigh-in from 9.30-10.30am with boxing starting at 12 noon.
Entries dependent, boxing will carry on during the week.
The winners will advance to the Ulster finals at Deele College on Sunday-week, May 19.
