The No Barriers Foundation have this week launched a charity ball which is set to be one of the biggest social events of the year.
Taking place in the luxurious Castle Grove Country House on Saturday the 8th of June, the inaugural ball is set to be an exciting summer soirée and an important fundraiser for a local cause.
The black tie event will be held in support of the Letterkenny-based No Barriers Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing specialist rehabilitation services in the north west.
Guests can look forward to a sparkling celebration, with a prosecco reception and a 3 course banquet of superb Castle Grove food.
A charity auction promises to thrill and there will be special guests to keep everyone entertained throughout the night. Afterwards, local band Raw will be rocking the dancefloor into the early hours.
Tickets are out now for this unmissable event, priced at €80 and available from JT Physiotherapy, Ramelton Rd, Letterkenny. Tel: 0749111010
Money raised from No Barriers Charity Ball will go towards supporting patients who use the No Barriers Exoskeleton. The state-of-the-art robotic technology was purchased in 2018 to enable local people diagnosed with spinal injury, stroke, MS, and brain injury, amongst others, to stand up and walk.
Johnny Loughrey, Director and Lead Physio for The No Barriers Foundation said: “This year we are delighted to have two full-time No Barriers staff providing the Exoskeleton service for the Northwest.
“Money raised will be used to help cover staff wages to be able to keep providing this service to those suffering from spinal injury, MS, brain injury and stroke around the North West for as low a cost as is possible for the Exoskeleton user.
“Any additional revenue will be used to help acquire new much-needed exercise equipment to create an inclusive gym environment in Donegal. This gym will allow wheelchair users and those with varying levels of mobility to train side by side with others within their community.”
If you would like to support the positive steps taken by No Barriers, why not come along to the charity ball and enjoy a fun night out for a great cause.
