Maghery Band Academy have a proud collection of silverware following Dungloe’s Main St Band Competition on Easter Sunday.
The Academy’s 3 Fife & Drum Bands received trophies from the well-organised he well organised event.
Maghery Juniors led by Mia Boyle received Best Endeavour Award and placed second in their section.
The ‘Old’ Senior band led by Jack Brearton placed first in the Music Only section.
And The Senior Competitive Band were placed first in their section as well as awarded Best Band on parade for the third consecutive year. Drum Major Courteney Boyle was also awarded Best Drum Major for the second year in a row.
Their routine was highly anticipated as many spectators travelled the distance to watch the band who took the Internet by storm last year live in action on Dungloe Main St.
The spectators were not disappointed when the band hot off the heels from their East Coast USA Tour performed a new routine that was as powerful, exciting and thrilling as last year!
Easter Sunday 21st April marked a month to the date in which they the Sr Competitive Maghery Band paraded through Magic Kingdom in Disney World Florida on their East Coast USA Tour.
The routine was dedicated to this particular day as well as the rest of their tour showcasing Traditional Irish music, Classical, Pop, Rock and Disney magic galore!
The band will be working towards their summer commitments and the drive for five as they head to Drogheda to defend their All Ireland Title and then in September headline at Liverpool Tattoo.
