The Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny launches their May and June season with a huge variety of weird and wonderful music acts from across the world.
Washington DC native SNEAKS headlines a late night gig on Friday 3rd of May.
Described as a mix of M.I.A., Aaliyah and Nirvana, SNEAKS blends pop music and hip hop with plenty of punk attitude.
SNEAKS is joined by Scottish techno wizard SECRET STATE (aka Neil Landstrumm) and Donegal based Shammen Delly.
JASON LYTLE, better known as the leader of GRANDADDY (David Bowie’s favourite Indie Rock band) headlines an intimate seated gig in the RCC on Sunday May 12th.
Lytle was a former professional skateboarder, who had turned to music after a knee injury forced him to stop skating. In 2000 he released the dystopian classic album The Software Slump, cited by NME magazine as the 34th best album of all time and “heart-achingly beautiful” by The New York Times.
Support comes from Northern Ireland group MALOJIAN, who’s latest album features Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M., Atoms For Peace, Roger Waters), Gerry Love (Teenage Fanclub) and more.
And if that wasn’t enough there are many other great events on at the RCC for May include.
