Explore Inishowen has launched its first visitor guide to promote the best of the peninsula for 2019.
The new tourism agency unveiled the booklet in Malin Head this week, to coincide with the official opening of the R2D2 Road and the Launch of the ‘May the Fourth be with you’ Festival.
Commenting at the launch, Explore Inishowen CLG programme manager, Heidi Doherty said; “We are very excited to have launched our ‘Go Visit Inishowen Visitor Guide’ for 2019 – a booklet which contains all the information that the potential visitor requires to “Explore Inishowen”.
“There are features on all the towns and villages in Inishowen, our beaches, wildlife, golf courses, historic and scenic sights and much, much more.
“We also have an array of options to choose from in terms of local restaurants & bars with music, accommodation, events & activities for family fun.”
“Thousands of visitor guides will be delivered throughout the peninsula as well as in tourist information points along the western seaboard on the Wild Atlantic Way. Our Causeway Coast neighbours will also stock our guide so that we can encourage more visitors into the area coming from both directions travelling ‘The Northern Headlands’.”
Ms Doherty continued; “Here in the Inishowen Tourist Office, the team are passionate about promoting our tourism product offering. We have so much to offer the avid adventurer or culturally curious visitor seeking a quality visitor experience that creates lasting memories.
“Our commitment to our beautiful corner of the world extends to building strong industry partner relationships, collaborating with community driven initiatives and combining that strategy with local business promotions. Our goal is to ensure that all geographic areas benefit from our growing tourism sector; sustainability for future generations.
“If you’d like to join us and play your part in developing our tourism product – or if you’d like some copies of our visitor guide – then feel free to contact us with any enquiries.”
