Duty Manager
An exciting opportunity for a Duty Manager has arisen in Kee’s Hotel Co. Donegal. This role is a very challenging one as it would entail working in and supporting various departments throughout the hotel.
The Role:
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a busy hotel. This position will suit a customer-focused individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to support & lead a team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to progress his or her career within the hospitality industry. The role is interesting and varied taking in all aspects of the food and beverage aspects of the business and will especially suit a person who excels in a multi-tasking environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all elements of the shift ensuring smooth service.
- Ability to direct the team in their day to day duties.
- Anticipate guest needs, and proactively manage their expectations.
- Assist with the management of the hotel’s daily operations and take responsibility for the daily operation of your shift ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service from each department.
- To be visible on the floor throughout the shift.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have full knowledge of the hotel and all departments.
- Enable staff to operate and manage their individual departments in an efficient and professional manner.
- A strong emphasis on food and beverage would be an advantage.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
Requirements:
- Have previous hotel experience.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Have a passion for their role.
- Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members alike.

Hotel Receptionist
We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable receptionist to join our professional and highly skilled reception team. If you have the relevant experience or would like to develop your career within a busy hotel we could have an excellent opportunity for you.
Main Duties:
- To be well groomed and presenting a professional appearance to all of our guests.
- To greet the guests on arrival and at all times in a warm, welcoming and friendly manner.
- Liaising with housekeeping in relation to specific room requests.
- To check in/out guests effectively ensuring all details are correct.
- To carry out tasks effectively using a computerized system.
- Daily Management of the Hotel & 3rd Party Websites.
- Working in conjunction with hotel Sales Team / Revenue Manager on sales initiatives.
- To ensure that any additional requirements (upselling) for guests are offered i.e. dinner reservations, etc.
- Promoting and selling the Hotel’s facilities at all times.
- To ensure that all charges are posted correctly onto room bills.
- To take reservations and respond to guests quickly.
- To answer switchboard in a warm and welcoming manner and effectively transfer calls to correct extensions.
- To correctly take messages for guests/staff ensuring that date, time, message, to/from and initials are noted.
- To ensure that relevant people receive any messages immediately.
- Dealing with any guest requests/queries in a polite and attentive manner and reporting any problems to the Duty Manager.
- Balancing of reception cash at end of each shift.
- The sensible allocation of rooms to customers having viewed all relevant guest requests.
- Handling safe deposit for guests.
- Dealing with foreign exchange for customers.
- To ensure that all monies are kept secure at all times.
- To be aware of and comply with company policy regarding Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, and Customer Care & Security.
- To read, understand and comply with your responsibilities as defined in the Health & Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
- To assist the Front Office Manager and colleagues in ensuring the smooth running of the front desk.
- Ability to work variety of shifts including midweek and weekend
- Applicants must have fluent English and excellent communication skills
