Summer weather is on the way for the Bank Holiday weekend as temperatures will soar to 21C in Donegal.
That’s hotter than Ibiza, Barcelona, Lisbon and the South of France!
The Easter weekend will be a sunny delight on Friday and Saturday. Warm days and sunshine are all in the forecast, with no rain in sight until Saturday evening.
Parts of Donegal will bask in highs of 21C in what will be the hottest weekend of the year so far.
After a week of weather warnings and cold conditions, many locals will be getting their sunglasses out and heading to the beach to enjoy the Easter holidays.
The Met Eireann forecast for Ulster says: “Good Friday will be dry and warm with long spells of, at times hazy, spring sunshine. Top temperatures 17 to 21 degrees, but a few degrees cooler in the coastal fringes of the east and south. Light winds and sea breezes.”
” Saturday will be another warm and mostly dry day with any early mist soon clearing. Long spells of hazy spring sunshine look likely to prevail through much of Leinster and Munster. Thicker cloud in Ulster and Connacht though, will produce some patchy rain or drizzle there by the end of the day. Top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.”
It will get colder on Easter Sunday following on from a drizzly Saturday night, with temperatures still holding above seasonal average at 13 to 16 degrees.
