Finn Harps’ Colm Deasy has been slapped with a four-game suspension following his sending off against Derry City.
Deasy was red carded in the first half of the 3-2 defeat for a tackle on Ciaran Coll, the former Harps captain.
Coll was stretchered off after a period of treatment, but the St Johnston man returned to play in Derry’s 2-0 win over UCD on Friday night.
Deasy sat out Harps’ 1-0 loss against Bohemians in Ballybofey.
Deasy will now miss the games against Dundalk, St Patrick’s Athletic, Sligo Rovers and Cork City after being hit with an additional four-game ban.
Derry’s Jamie McDonagh, sent off after being given a second yellow card in the Finn Park tunnel, has been given a two-game ban, while Derry assistant manager Kevin Deery will have to serve a one-game touchline suspension.
