Jason Quigley says he’s back ‘punching with confidence’ again as he looks to prove a point in a stacked middleweight division.
By Chris McNulty at The Copper Box Arena
Quigley eased to a win over Finland’s Mathias Eklund last night in London.
The Ballybofey man stopped Eklund early in the second round for the 16th win of his professional career.
“I made a bit of a statement, but I know I’m levels above that guy,” Quigley told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“I want to go now and prove that.
“I’m punching hard and punching with confidence. It’s a big confidence booster to be in landing clean shots at will.
“Everything has been going great and we’re looking to stay busy and keep climbing that ladder. We’ll stay busy and stay active.”
