Ollie Horgan has been hit with a three-game ban following his dismissal at Tallaght Stadium against Shamrock Rovers earlier this month.
The Finn Harps manager was sent to the stands after 70 minutes of the 3-0 defeat to the Hoops after Tomás Connolly, the fourth official, ran out of patience, having already warned him twice about his offence.
It is understood that Connolly corrected Horgan’s mispronunciation of his first name before the Harps’ manager sarcastically blessed himself, asking for forgiveness from Connolly as he headed down the tunnel.
Now the FAI’s Disciplinary Control Unit have hit Horgan with a three-match ban with immediate effect.
