The pupils and staff of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál in Letterkenny have given a great boost to the ‘High Five for Conall’ fund following a successful coffee morning.
A whopping €900 was raised from generous donations to a coffee morning and a cake sale by Mrs Carlin’s 4th class.
The money will be used to help Conall Shiels from Letterkenny, a popular local boy who requires 24 hour palliative care. As Conall’s fifth birthday approaches, his family friends have set up a campaign to help the Shiels’ renovate their home to adapt for his needs. The target is set at €55,555.
Conall and his mum Aoife were delighted to accept a cheque donation from Mrs Carlin’s class at Scoil Mhuire gan Smál recently.
Many more fundraisers are planned for Conall in the coming months, for updates see: www.facebook.com/highfiveforconall
