Daniel O’Donnell has broken a major UK chart record with his latest album ‘Gold’.
The Donegal singer’s newest record reached number nine on the album charts this week, cementing the star’s unbroken record of being the only artist to have had an album in the UK Top 30 for 32 consecutive years.
The new album is a 60 track compilation across 3CDs featuring recordings from across Daniel’s entire recording career. It features duets with his long-term singing partner Mary Duff, along with special duets recorded with Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride.
It includes Daniel’s first chart single ‘I Just Want to Dance with You’ and other well-known classics such as ‘Stand Beside Me’, ‘My Lovely Donegal’ and ‘How Great Thou Art’.
Closer to home, fans of Daniel will be delighted to hear that he returns to TV screens this Sunday evening on RTÉ One for his USA Roadtrip, when himself and wife Majella embark on a 1,000 mile road trip from Chicago to Minot in North Dakota.
