The gathering marked the end of an era and the service known as Co. Donegal Citizens Information Service Ltd., which had been in existence since February 1998, due to the planned reorganisation of the Citizens Information Service Companies nationally.
This planned transfer of the business, assets and liabilities of Co. Donegal Citizens Information Service CLG, to North Connacht & Ulster Citizens Information Service CLG is taking place as a result of the reorganisation of CIS / MABS companies.
