Dundalk coach John Gill was impressed by Finn Harps last night – and has tipped Ollie Horgan’s men to take some more scalps at Finn Park.
“You have to give credit to Harps,” Gill told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
Harps dug in. They were dogged. I thought we dominated the game. We hit the crossbar. We hit the post. It was a typical bloodthirsty game. We’re disappointed.”
Dane Massey hit the bar in the first half and Sean Hoare knocked against a post in the second as Dundalk were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
Gill said of Harps: “They were very disciplined. They had a good shape about them and this is a very difficult place to come. There is no easy game in this League. The day you think that is the day you’ll fall on your sword.
“They were resolute. They defended their box and put their bodies on the line. They have a couple of warriors. Keith Cowan had an exceptional game tonight, he headed everything. Any team that comes up here won’t get anything easy.”
