A fun morning of great food, music and craic was enjoyed by all at the first North West Simon Community Tea Day fundraiser of 2019.
Guests visited the Silver Tassie Hotel on Thursday for the popular event where pancakes were the order of the day.
Silver Tassie Chef Karl have expert pancake demos while entertainment was provided by the hilarious Noel Sweeney, who recently launched his own book ‘Don’t Say You Weren’t Taul’, and popular musician Barney McDaid.
The Tea Day was hailed a great success, raising €570.27 to support the charity which helps local people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
NW Simon Development Officer Collette Ferguson thanked all those who made the event possible: “Thank you Teresa, Karl and all the team at the Silver Tassie Hotel for a most fabulous morning and to each and everyone for your kind generosity and support! Finally, thank you Fergus Cleary, Barney Mc Daid and the great man himself Noel Sweeney for keeping us all entertained!”
Anyone interested in organising their very own Tea Day in aid of North West Simon Community is invited to contact Collette on: 087 0552478 or E: collette@northwestsimon.ie
