Loganair has announced it will take over the City of Derry Airport to London Stanstead route from 27 February.
The announcement follows the collapse of Flybmi, which had operated between the airports since 2017.
Talks began between the Department for Transport, City of Derry Airport and Derry City and Strabane District Council in the wake of the Flybmi collapse.
The public service obligation (PSO) air route, the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, had been in place since 2017.
The Scottish airline will also provide a new daily service to Manchester from the City of Derry Airport.
