There was a familiar name in the winner’s circle at the latest Donegal ETB Golf Society outing to Murvagh.
Society Captain John Bosco Gallagher triumphed at the Donegal Golf Club links for the third time, proving the old adage about horses for courses!
John Bosco’s winning score of 36pts was enough to take victory from Tommy Greally in second place on 34pts with Kevin Cooley 32pts (b.o.t.) and Vice-Captain Deirdre O Toole completing the top four.
Adrian McLaughlin kicked off his well-earned retirement with the retired members prize with 31pts while the evergreen Brid Kelly won the Category 4 prize with 29pts.
The Golfer of the Year standings after 3 events sees Eanna O Maininn at the head of affairs on 51pts with the wily pair of Alex Harkin (45pts) and Eamon McDonnell (42pts) following close behind in what promises to be a closely fought contest this year.
