Operation Transformation leader Cathal Gallagher has done it again.
The Ballyshannon man smashed his week five weight loss goal last night after shedding 11 pounds on the RTE show.
That means that Cathal has lost almost 41Ibs since deciding he needed to change his lifestyle and shed the pounds.
Set a goal to shed 4lbs by the panel, the Donegal paramedic dropped 11lbs in total.
That brings him to under 24 stone, after originally weighing in as the show’s heaviest ever leader at 26 stone and 10 pounds.
The paramedic stepped up his game after missing his goal last week – and took fitness guru Karl advice to up his steps by 10,000.
Trainer Karl Henry said “What a number. You’re a big guy and when big guys work hard they get big numbers.
“You gave me an extra 23,000 steps. Three kilometres extra a day.
“I saw a man who was motivated, focused, fit and I could go on and on. It’s a different man than I’ve seen at any stage.”
Dr Sumi added: “Out of 11 pounds, only three were water weight. The only person who made this change was you.”
Cathal had extra motivation to drop the pounds this week with an upcoming 20km cycle on the cards for the paramedic.
Karl Henry paid him a visit to make sure he’s well and able to get back on the bike when the time comes – and worked up quite a sweat in the process.
Last week Kathryn Thomas headed to Donegal to meet leader Cathal’s wife Agi – after some tense scenes aired three weeks ago.
