Throughout March and April, An Grianan theatre will host an upcoming exhibition entitled ‘Legacy in Threads’.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Veronica Buchanan and Geraldine Galligan, fusing both art and poetry. It will take the format of a series of installations, with themes ranging from dealing with loss, the impact of war, self-identity and remembering loved ones.
Buchanan, from Buncrana, studied Fine Art in the National College of Art and Design and then moved into education. She is well known for nurturing and developing many local talents, who hold great esteem in art circles both nationally and internationally.
Geraldine Galligan has been a primary teacher for thirty years. She is a passionate advocate for the power of the Arts, both as a modus of self-expression and in its capacity to heal. She is no stranger to the stage, having played many roles, both in musicals and plays over the years.
‘Legacy in Threads’ launches on March 15 at 7.30pm in An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny and everyone is welcome.
