Hugh McFadden says Sunday’s win over Clare ‘broke the ice’ on the 2019 season – but the Killybegs man insists Donegal will have to fight all the way this weekend.
Donegal host Meath at Sean MacCumhaill Park on Saturday evening in a clash of two sides who won their Division 2 openers.
“It broke the ice on the season and gave us a bit of a buzz,” McFadden told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We knew very little about Clare. We’d never really played against them. The performance was good at times and average at others.
“The experience of Sunday will build us towards Meath. It’ll be hard to wrestle the points from Meath.”
