Superintendent David Kelly has appealed for witnesses as investigations continue into the West Donegal crash which claimed the lives of four young men in their 20s.
Four friends died when their 01DL Toyota Corolla car went off the road at Gleannhulaigh near Magheraroarty on Sunday night. No other vehicles were involved.
Speaking earlier today in Bunbeg, Supt Kelly described the ‘traumatic’ crash scene and called on anyone who was in the area who may have seen the silver hatchback to make contact and assist with Garda investigations.
The car was travelling from Magheraroarty to Gaoth Dobhair at around 8.40pm or earlier in the evening.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on 074-9153060 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
Meanwhile, tributes continue to pour in for the four local men who died in last night’s road tragedy.
The victims have been named as childhood friends John Harley, 24, Shaun Harkin, 22, Micheal Roarty, 24, and Daniel Scott, also in his 20s.
